The gallery began developing the local art market during the post-Soviet period, it is known as the founder of the art auction tradition in Estonia. Haus Gallery features works of Estonian art from the end of the 19th century to the present day. At the fair, Haus Gallery presents the work by renowned artist and photographer Arne Maasik (b. 1971) who studied Architecture at the Estonian Academy of Arts. In his artistic practice, Maasik combines the rhythms of architecture with photography. He loves to photograph cities, although he has also found his signature in the primordial essence of nature. Maasik handles photography through his own characteristic existential point of view, which is amplified by refined subjects of his choice, as well as clean compositions.
