Maxim Mjödov

Maxim Mjödov (b. 1983) is a fine art photographer, born and working in Tallinn, Estonia. In 2003, fascinated by emulsion based photography, he dedicated himself to experimenting with it – in search of narrative and poetic forms and possibilities to gain knowledge about and analyse themes like relationships in modern society, transformation and influence of landscape, perception of time. At the fair, he presents the series SELF DEFENCE, the first part of «MÄE» project, a selection from over 1000 negatives taken between 2007-2017. It focuses on how the landscape of childhood becomes strongly associated with identity.
